I have just finished The Misunderstood God. It was a thoroughly good experience to read, and meshed very well with the characteristics of the God that I have come to embrace. I also have some people in mind who could benefit from reading it. : )

I just finished the book last night. Good from start to finish! As I read through it at times I felt convicted, at times angry at the system that had me so fooled, at times just mushy as I realized the truth of God's love and at times just plain tha…

Is anyone else reading this? I started reading it the other day and it is awesome! It is a fantastic description of the true heart of God. http://www.amazon.com/Misunderstood-God-Religion-Tells-About/dp/1935170058/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=125

Old and Familiar, but New and Remarkable

My wife Dana has been out of town for a couple of days, and since this is Saturday, I spent my morning doing errands that she and I usually do together. Nothing unusual about that, except that she wasn’t with me today. But it turned out that God would show me something today that I hadn’t seen before.

My first stop was at the cleaners. When I was through there, I headed to Wal-Mart. My usual route to Wal-Mart via a busy thoroughfare is inaccessible these days due to road construction. So I turn… Continue

Feelings, Nothing More Than Feelings............

There's an old song (1975) by Morris Albert in which the singer declares his undying love for the lady he lost. However, he refers to his emotions as "nothing more than feelings." In this way, he seems to be trying to diminish the importance of what he feels. They're just feelings, nothing more.

In Chapter 2 of Wide Open Spaces, Jim Palmer points out how difficult it is for Christ followers to place much credence in their emotions. He says, "My religious conditioning taught me to mistrust my em… Continue

How to be a Nobody

How to be a Nobody
By Kwee Lain

Everybody wants to be a somebody
Nobody knows how to be a nobody
If ever there is a somebody
Who knows how to be a nobody
Then that nobody is a real somebody

If you ever want to be a nobody
Then follow that somebody
Who already is a nobody
Later, let go of everybody
Even that somebody
Who already is a nobody
Eventually, you will be a real nobody

Written by somebody, who wants to be a nobody, for the benefit of everybody.
