Actually Keren, my family are still a part of their cliques and I still get a cold shoulder from them (more so from my wife and kids than my parents but it is still there), The family that was glad to see me was the family of the woman who died and…

A church is just a gathering of fellow believers. It can take place anywhere and anytime. What has worked for me is to pray to God and trust Him to connect me with believers.

No problem Keren, although your post reminded me how I use to respond before this; my comments was intended to show how I've changed. I did not post the full story, because it would be too long and it is hard to believe anyways. I do not know how th…

These are some very heart felt comments. Before this, I use to be a fixer- that is one who is ready to pass out rules and advice on how to fix problems like this. I now realize that comes across as a slap in the face. I know that there are many more…

About 14 years ago a man in his late 30's became Chairman of the Deacons at the church he attended. It was soon after that the problems started. First the Youth Minister left to lead out at another church in state that they grew up & married in. A couple of weeks later the Pastor resigned, leaving just a part time Minister of Music that did not want to get involved in church leadership (other than music). The church was divided, aligning themselves as followers of certain previous pastors or… Continue

I am a rock

Every time i go to website like this one; the song "I am a rock" comes to my mine. Are sites like this one just a way to escape to a place where we can safely hide deep within our room- safe within our womb- where we touch no one and no one touches us?

Quote from "The Divine Conspiracy" by Dallas Willard

While talking about the Cheerleader approach that many apply to God, Dallas Willard says this:
"They may then have faith in faith but will have little faith in God. For God and his world are just not "real" to them. They may believe in believing but not be able to rely on God-like many in our current culture who love love but in practice are unable to love real people. They may believe in prayer, think it quite a good thing, but be unable to pray believing and so will rarely if ever, pray at all… Continue

The snake

I was delivering a package in a cul-de-sac when I saw a water moccasin sunning itself in the middle of the street. I enjoyed running over it. After delivering the package I saw that the snake had move a few feet closer to the curb, but was dying from getting his head run over. I then ran over it a second time, enjoying it more than the first time.

Sunset

After a long and frustrating day at work, I was driving my package car back to the hub that I work out of. On my way back, I traveled on a bridge across a lake right at sunset. The sun was right above a line of trees, and was orange. There was a orange line across the horizon and its height was the diameter of the sun. The lake was relatively calm and had orange spots across the surface as the water reflected the orange light. Also, on the lake were a few boats with people fishing from them. It… Continue

The world gets smaller every day! It was good to hear from you but I have to be honest and say that I don't remember any detail of your story.

Do you remember Puddleglum? I first made contact with him as a result of a discussion about head knowledge or heart awareness. On my own blog I recently asked "Where do I start?" and the first response was from Puddleglum who is still struggling! Ironically it was he who gave me the link to Jim Palmer. I've just added "The Puddleglum and Old Pete Story" to my blog. It will give you an idea of where I am on the journey.

Hi Dennis
Reading between the lines of "2 unconnected events" I sense that you and your wife are on different spiritual journeys. Am I right?

Congratulations on your career! I think once my boys are both in school all day I might take a driving job, if there's one open - I'm sure I'll be a PCD for a while, but I'd like to get in eventually!

How to be a Nobody

How to be a Nobody
By Kwee Lain

Everybody wants to be a somebody
Nobody knows how to be a nobody
If ever there is a somebody
Who knows how to be a nobody
Then that nobody is a real somebody

If you ever want to be a nobody
Then follow that somebody
Who already is a nobody
Later, let go of everybody
Even that somebody
Who already is a nobody
Eventually, you will be a real nobody

Written by somebody, who wants to be a nobody, for the benefit of everybody.
